Creamy Grape Salad-The Perfect Fall Side Dish

Fall is a great time for some of my favorite produce to go on sale...apples, winter squash, tomatoes, onions, pears and grapes. Grapes are a fruit sent from heaven. They are so sweet, crisp and refreshing. I was at a friend get together awhile back and my friend brought this Creamy Grape Salad. At first I was hesitant (let's be honest, it's not very pretty!). I was in love at first bite however!! It is no wonder fruit drenched in cream cheese, chopped nuts and brown sugar is delicious. This salad is a perfect refreshing side dish to any of your favorite meals. Pretty much I keep this in my fridge for a few days and eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and for dessert! Enjoy and happy first week of fall!

Creamy Grape Salad
2 lbs. seedless grapes (red or green)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sour cream
3 T. white sugar
2 T. brown sugar
2 t. vanilla
Dash of salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, etc.)

In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and salt. Fold in the nuts. In a separate bowl, rinse the grapes and remove them from their stems. Add the washed grapes to the bowl of cream cheese. Fold in the grapes and refrigerate until ready to serve.

You can also thicken a soup or stew with potato flakes! Just stir in and thicker soup!
