Case lot time again!

>> Saturday, January 7, 2012

It is case lot time again..yahoo!! For those who live in Utah, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho, you are lucky enough to take advantage of the case lot sales at Smiths. For those in Utah, Harmons, Reams and Macey's all have AWESOME deals on many food storage favorites! I went shopping yesterday and was thrilled with my food storage deals. Because I work on my food storage all year, I didn't have too many items I needed. However, there were a few items I was in desperate need...cake mixes, oil, honey and mayonnaise. Who can live with out those? If you are needing to beef up your food storage, this is the week to do it! Many long term grains (wheat, oats, rice, etc.), as well as sugar (sugar, powdered sugar, brown sugar, jam and honey) are all on sale for GREAT deals this week. This is the time to build up your supply so you have them throughout the year when these items are not on sale.

Login to our website to see all of the best deals in your area. Remember, our service is only $1.13 a week. You will save that on ONE item by knowing which items to buy, and which ones NOT to buy. On my shopping trip below I had to have a manager approve my transaction--that means I saved over $50 at Walmart. So cool! Happy shopping :)

So I have a question about Walmart, normally walmart doesn't have the Brand you are looking for, and sometimes the same ounces as the other sales of the stores. What do you do then for Case lot sales, and are you able to buy as many as you want at the case lot price or do you have to buy the case to get the price? Sorry I hope that makes sense...

Wish there was anything even close to a case lot sale in Minnesota.... I might have to have my mom get me some stuff and save it for us till summer when we come for a visit.

Nikki...good to hear from you! How is Minnesota? No case lots, that is sad. Sorry! Hope to see you soon, and that you are enjoying your new home and place.

Shelby...for price matching all you need to do is purchase the Walmart brand (Great Value or Smart Choice) when a store item is on sale. As long as it is the same ounce as what is on sale you will be fine. At Walmart you can buy as many cans as you would like. If you purchase the case at the case lot sales, you will need to buy the entire box. Hope that helps :)

Thanks for your comments.

Did you and do you use coupons? I clip coupons but Im not that great at it. It looks like you mostly price match?? I just joined deals to meals and I was trying to find a little more info on whether you coupon too. Thanks Im excited to be a member!

Thank you for your comment. Most of our members of our website are not avid coupon clippers. We focus more on price matching and being watchful of the good deals each week with OUT needing to clip coupons. Several members use our service along with couponing and that is totally okay! Why not save even more, right? The only place I ever get coupons from is www.coupons.com. They many times have great coupons on cheese, frozen pizzas and other items I stock up on. I don't know if you saw, but we challenged the coupon clippers on a KSL news story and we totally won! There is a link to the story at the bottom of our blog if you are interested. Either way--with or without coupons you should save $100's each month :)
