Grocery Bargains & Case Lot Time Again

Awesome deals this week!!  I had to do my meal planning shopping for the next two weeks today and there were some fabulous deals on all of the produce, meat and other items I was in need of. There were even bonus items on sale this week that I needed like cereal, Go-gurts (great for lunches!), mayonnaise and MUCH more. I went to our neighborhood Walmart and from the time I planned my meals to the time I was home it was less than 90 minutes. I saved almost $100's and the cashiers were in shock that I could get two grocery carts full of groceries for under $200. So cool!!!

Well, besides great deals on regular groceries, it is CASE LOT TIME again! Yippee!! If you live near a Maceys or Fresh Market, stop by to stock up on all of the food storage items you need to bulk up your storage. Login to our website to find out all of the best deals. It is a great time to stock up on long term grains and baking items like wheat, oats, flour, sugar, honey, etc. Many, many items on sale for rock-bottom prices. Stock up now to save money all year long!! Have fun ;)

I am always a little unsure how to price match meat at walmart. Do you have any tips on this? Did you price match the chicken? I guess I don't know how brands match up.

Did you price match the great value yogurt for the WF yogurt that is on sale this week? If so, how exactly? Since they sell the GV in packs of 4.

I am new to the whole price matching thing, and want to learn more so I can save time shopping! Any tips you have I would greatly appreciate. :)

When you price match meat just purchase the no-name Walmart meat (unless a name-brand meat is on sale like Farmland Bacon or something like that. If that's the case then you have to get the same name brand). For all other meats just get the same cut of meat (rump roast, boneless skinless, etc.) and then you will be fine. Just tell them the price per pound and they will change the prices for you.

For the yogurt, when a store brand yogurt is on sale our Walmart will let you times that price by four and give them that price. This week they are on sale for .33 each, so the four pack is $1.32.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions ;)

I'm so bummed. We moved to an area that doesn't do case lots. It stinks a lot.

It also doesn't help that our food storage dropped significantly cause we ate it down before and during the move...can you tell how very bummed i am :(

So upsetting that we don't have case lot sales. However, thanks to you, my grocery shopping goals were realized on Saturday! I did my shopping and saved so much that the manager had to come open the drawer! $134.00 saved, almost 60%! Woot! Woot!

Nice job Emily!!! That's great ;)

It is a bummer that other states don't do case lot sales. They really are the best! For those who don't, just focus on the red deals each week and stock up on those when they go on sale. For those long term food storage items, just stock up at Costco or Sam's Club or at your local LDS Dry Pack Cannery. These are the best places to buy long term items like wheat, oats, flour, sugar, etc.

Good luck to you!
